How to Install hplip software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

hplip software package provides HP Linux Printing and Imaging System (HPLIP), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install hplip

hplip is installed in your system.

Make ensure the hplip package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hplip *

You will get with hplip package name, version, architecture and description in a table
